I know I am being unreasonably cross about this, but...isn't this just prohibitive and ridiculous?
We are trying to book a week in Northumberland in the summer and the majority of accommodation (for 4 of us) starts on a Friday.
Whilst I understand that owners might want to take short break bookings over weekends, why don't they change the policy for peak time (i.e. July) when surely most people are booking holiday cottages for a week or more? I don't want to take an additional day of annual leave for 1 week away and we live too far away to drive there comfortably on Friday evening.
I am really cross that we might have to rethink our destination due to crap availability. It does explain though why the few Sat changeovers I have found are already booked through the summer...
Does anybody else find this a problem?
