Charity door knockers!

At this time!! I just had two woman from a charity (didn't see which one it is dark) knock on my door. I said "it's abit late isn't it?" To which I got "I'm entitled to operate at this time!" Not even an apology I said "not on my door step your not" before shutting the door in her face. Couldn't believe it tbh I was trying to get my 8 month old to sleep now she's crying because it disturbed her. She banged on the door really loud! Aibu in thinking it's far too late?

Yanbu. Very annoying.

YANBU. I hate charity collectors banging on my door and they usually get a firm ‘no thanks’ and the door shut on them before they’ve finished speaking. Sadly we haven’t had any since we got our Ring doorbell as I’m looking forward to telling them to bugger off from the comfort of the sofa!

Charities are apparently allowed by law to knock up until 9pm which is far too late IMO.

pink you should record Mr Burns, from The Simpsons, when he says "release the dogs". That should help them decide if they want to hang around.

DrDreReturns · 11/01/2018 20:58

Should be illegal.

I hate this! And those who swoop in gangs and go two at a time to each house.

Guaranteed within the first ten seconds it will be " don't worry we don't want any money" erm maybe not in cash but you want my bloody bank details!

They're always so fake, " oh your top is nice " I'm John, what's your name? Oh can I call you Lord Sugar " blah blah blah

Piss off Grin

Ha I agree with the fakeness. one in the street called me super mum the other day trying to get me to stop. I find it embarrassing more than anything.

It’s not their fault. It’s whoever is sending them out and the team leaders.
When my dd was a tl she would have her group leave the office at 1 and finish by 8. Other would leave with their groups later so they would knock until 9.
The office is laid back as long as quotas are met.

Their Id should give their office name and their own id number.

Couldn't see where they were even from tbh it's dark and I don't have any lighting outside my door.

I have a sign on my door which is a trading standards one but includes charity. Haven't had one knock on the door since- we used to get them several times a month and they drove me crazy. I also dislike the ones on the street, annoys me when I am clearly rushing and they try several times to stop me I try to be polite but some don't take no for an answer.
