With all the talk about cutting down on plastic, I've realised I need to do something about my workday lunches.
I often get a hot meal or soup to take away from the work canteen, and it is served in a styrofoam takeaway box or takeaway cup with plastic lid.
(And, yes, I know it would be much better to take in my own lunch, but we don't have access microwave, and I often just want something hot.)
I've been thinking that I could take in a reuseable lidded box and have my lunch served into there. (I've already seen some ceramic coffee cups with silicon lids that I could use for soup)
I'd rather not have a plastic box that might get scratched by a knife and fork, and it needs to be able to go in the dishwasher, and to have hot food put in it.
I was thinking maybe a stainless steel box would be best, but wondered if anyone had any recommendations.
Ideally I would like to be even more socially responsible
by supporting a small supplier/company to buy it from.
