Hello, I don't know if I'm over reacting or not. I've been stuck at home for a while with a prolapsed disc. As any of you know, pd is bloody painful and I have to be mindful of how I move and what I do. Pain can be bad. Over the past few days I've been feeling so much worse. My eyes hurt, can't really eat or drink for feeling sick. Woke up this morning and I don't know what's happened. Everything is stiff. I am in so much pain. My neck, other parts of my back, arms, joints. Can't really sleep unless medicated. Feel like I've been hit by a truck. AIBU or is this the Aussie flu? I've had flu before but Christ this is something else. My knees really hurt. I've been trying to do my Phsyio exercises but I can't manage even those now. Typing with one very achy thumb. Confused

One thing you’ve not mentioned is a raised temperature?

With flu you would expect a temp in excess of 38.5 degrees, in my own experience if you have bad flu you wouldn’t be on mumsnet but semi conscious in a darkened room

I have many conditions affecting my back, they quite often overlap in symptoms and even I sometimes can’t work out what is actually causing the pain so you have my sympathy

Perhaps it’s time for a medical review of you situation?
