Or am I just paranoid?

Totally trivial matter but wondered if I'm just being a tad paranoid....so 2 weeks ago a random food caddy bin was dumped outside of our garage with a different address stickered to it (2 miles away) (told you trivial lol). Bin men took it away no probs a few days later.

Anyway...today I come home to find that someone has put a large heavy duty bag above the garage & entrance door (balancing on top of the hinge) so when I opened the door the bag nearly fell on me. Thinking wtf, I opened the bag which was double wrapped...and there was a food caddy bin again! This time boggy but drenched in bleach? Hmm with an address 8 miles away!!! Confused. Both times have happened when I've been out of the house for around an hour. Is this weird? Or am I being paranoid about something more sinister? W.e that means, it's a food bin for God's sake Grin

If someone deliberately balanced a bin full of bleach on a door so it falls on you when you open it, I don't think you are being paranoid.

It hasn't just been randomly thrown into your garden, it's been put there on purpose.

Lurkingshadow · 09/01/2018 17:31

Oh dear..house! Im slightly panicking, as I don't get home till from work until 1am & convincing myself someones going to jump out on me! Safe enough area, we moved here nearly a year ago with no problems.

That's really weird. Can you think of anyone you know that would like to put a bin full of bleach on your head?

Set up a camera and see who's doing it!

DearMrDilkington · 09/01/2018 17:33

Who do you live with? Maybe it was meant for them instead...

Lurkingshadow · 09/01/2018 17:33

All bins have addresses on them, council stickers. House Number & name of street.

OH & 2 DC, it wasn't full of bleach just looked & smelt like it was washed in it I suppose although there was quite a bit in the bag though. Confused

How old are the dc? If teens I'd guess it was one of their friends or someone they know.

mumgointhroughtorture · 09/01/2018 17:42

There was a similar thread to this recently which started as strange but lead to further things happening ...
(That one turned out to be coz they didn't sell their house to someone in the village so they were targeted !)
Keep your eye out for other strange things happening ...

Lurkingshadow · 09/01/2018 17:42

8 & 9 so don't think it's to do with them. OH has suggested cctv, will get on it!.

Definitely CCTV and be vigilant.
Might be a good idea to ring 101 and see what they say.

Supermagicsmile · 09/01/2018 18:15

What about contacting the addresses where they came from? Were they aware their bins were missing?

Pinkponiesrock · 09/01/2018 18:20

Well I live out in the sticks, no immediate neighbours and 2 of our food bins have disappeared!

Not blown away, not thrown in the ditch, not lying broken, completely vanished without a trace.
Have they been teleporting to yours?! I’ve never bleached them and they don’t have addresses on them though Confused

Lurkingshadow · 09/01/2018 19:00

Pink- you're welcome to have this one Grin do you live on May Street? Wink

LadyMarmyLard · 09/01/2018 19:16

Have you pissed off the bin men? Put non-food items in food bin? Not gave them an Xmas card? FWIW I didn’t tip my bin men, don’t think I should

LadyMarmyLard · 09/01/2018 19:18

Actually forget that. That would be weird revenge if you say they just took the bin away no problems..

RebootYourEngine · 10/01/2018 07:15

I would be a bit freaked out by that as well. Get the cctv setup as soon as possible.

BulletFox · 10/01/2018 07:18

Might have just been a mistake.

I found a random bin lid in the front garden hedge at previous property but couldn't be bothered to retrieve it really, it was difficult to reach.
