Walking boot

I know this is a 'how long is a piece of string' question but if you have had a similar injury to the below then how long until you were fully weight bearing?

Break either side of ankle and fibular snapped right through. Orif surgery then 8 weeks non weight bearing in cast then will go into walking boot (so that will be 2 weeks from now).

I know everyone's different but just looking for an idea on when I might be able to stand, drive and walk.

I had 2 breaks in one bone, 1 break in the other, also dislocated tib, fib and talus. ORIF on 2nd Feb. Started weight bearing extremely cautiously on 21st March.

Posted too soon. I was walking with one crutch within 2 - 3 weeks, driving short distances after 4, and was reasonably mobile and strong by the start of May. I got an excellent private physio and seriously knuckled down to the exercises because I had a 2yo and a newborn to deal with!

Thanks @OuchBollocks I have a 17mo old so the sooner I can stand and lift him etc the better. I was told I would be getting my cast off today (6 weeks post op) and into a boot but was given another cast instead for a further 2 weeks and I'm gutted!
