To not want DH to read my emails?

I ask as I often leave MSN messenger on in the evenings, and yesterday DH was working on the computer and I came in to find him browsing my emails. He nonchalently said that he often does and that I shouldn't care.
I'd never read his, and I have nothing to hide but some of the things I email friends about I just would prefer him not to see. To me it feels almost the same as if he was listening in on a girls night out.
On the plus side he now knows that I can't bear having to practically drag him out of bed for work every morning, and that that he really shouldn't come supermarket shopping with me anymore (He spends 10/15 minutes in the electrical and cd department then comes and finds me and whines at me to hurry up).
I just don't like that he may have seen some personal things I have been talking to friends about, particularly one who is going through a messy divorce.

So, do you read your OH's emails, and would you be upset if they read yours?

We have individual email adresses - but they all come into the one mailbox, so I can't help but see his. Mind you he mainly uses his work address which I can't access. I do have a quick look and tell him about them - he does the same with mine.

But no I wouldn't expect him to read them in detail !

He does however sit there and comment and smirk when I am on phone to my friends ! That I do find annoying !

Oh he does that too, If i'm on the phone he smirks or butts in and says ' tell them about X'.
I'm sure he pieces together what we are talking about and then wants to put his own conrtibution in. FGS call them yourself!
I've started to only call my friends when I'm in the bath. It may sound odd but I love a good soak and there are no children or DH to interrupt!
