Been threatened over parking!

Random car parked partially over my drive. Council ticketed and a hour or so later my door is being hammered on. It's my neighbours sons car. Neighbour and him calling me petty and ridiculous, that I should have known it was him. I've never seen him before. He called me racist, when I asked him to explain how I was being racist he ignored me. Neighbour started moang about other neighbours and how they park. She then walked off.

I just stood on my drive. He said your better get inside your house, I asked why he said you'll get hurt.

Get inside before I do. I just stood there. He drove off at speed.

I phoned 101 for advice. They wanted to sort it immediately but I'm hoping it's just a flash of anger.

If anything happens surely it'll be him? AIBU?

Let the police deal with it if that's what they're suggesting it means they've got good reason to. He threatened you and intimidated you, that's not ok, flash of anger or not!

Maybe get CCTV set up?

I was quite stunned and amazed I stayed calm! I just wanted to log it with police in case he came back.

I have his car details and know his parents address. He'd be really dumb to do anything.

It get referred to community police. I do have a crime number if anything does happen though.
