MIL snooping

MIL stayed this weekend and although I said the spare room was full of Christmas gifts that I'd just thrown in there and the door was closed she informed me that she had looked in and yes it was a mess! Just had a conversation with my husband and he said it was fine. If some one stays overnight they have full access to all rooms. AIBU that she should have kept her nose out!

Snooping is a rubbish terminology not sure what else to call it. Being nosy!

Minor, sorry. You mentioned the spare room and the presents, my mum would be straight in there!

Yanbu. Full access to all rooms? He's crazy.

My mum would be straight in there too. We're very close and I'd probably be the same at hers. Personally I don't see a problem

Full access to all rooms?
So it would be fine for her to go into your bedroom and rummage through uour knicker drawer?

Figrollsnotfatrolls · 07/01/2018 21:40

Next time leave a gimp mask and handcuffs in there..

I only mentioned the presents as I hadn't got many downstairs as my DD had so much for Christmas and her birthday and I didn't want to overwhelm her and I think she wanted to see her enjoying them. In hindsight it is minor but I do think where does do you draw the line? (Also if you had gone in the room why not keep it to yourself rather that a dig at the mess?)
