As someone who is prescribed quite a few medications, this would make me think twice before visiting (though appreciate there are many other factors)

Many medications that are OTC or prescription only are illegal in the UAE and a UK prescription means nothing.

Not just drugs like codeine and Ritalin but ADs and other drugs that you would not even think were a problem.

you need to be careful and check the law before going anywhere in the world, it should be common sense.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that customs officer, his boss, and his entire team had been sacked in disgrace. This wasn’t anything about Emirati law, it was one jumped up man.
