Advertising has always had a part to play in materialism. My question is, with the likes of Facebook, and Instagram, is social media the new trigger we can blame for our materialistic ways? How do we protect our children best? Hide the social media world from them but take the chance that they will be less savvy as other kids, or is it impossible to stop it happening?
