Can't be happy

Not really an AIBU but posting for traffic .
Does anyone else feel like they can't let themselves be happy and they're just waiting for the next thing to come and destroy everything ?
I keep thinking about things obsessively that I know logically aren't going to happen but the 'what ifs' are always there . Things are going well for my family now and i Just can't let myself believe it for fear of bad things happening. Is this common ?

I used to be like that turned into a wee bit of OCD...stopped doing things because of the what ifs...turned out to be depression, still don't do much tbh but thats more a matter of current situations. But one thing I always regret is not taking certain opportunties. Now I pretty much have no chance to do anything. Live your life and try not to worry too much OP. Anything could happen anytime. Enjoy life while you can and try not to have any regrets xx

It’s called anxiety, letsblaze. Unfortunately there’s no miracle cure but you can train yourself to try to relax in the moment and not project your fears onto possible futures.

It’s not weird or insane; it’s just anxiety.
