New years honours list

Why are all the men on the list just published as their first and last names (unless they're specified as Dr, Prof, etc), but all the women are Ms, Mrs or Miss?
It wouldn't look so odd if the men were all listed as Mr, but why do women need to be given titles, when the men aren't?
AIBU to find this really annoying? I get that the honours are archaic and ridiculous in many ways, but surely there should be some equality for men and women by 2018. If men can just be listed by name, why couldn't that be done for the women too? Do we really need titles to show that they're women and what relevance does their marital status have to the honours? I realise women can use Ms if they feel marital status is irrelevant, but why should they have to when men aren't being listed as Mr?
