What are you being unreasonable about today?

I’m grumpy because the house won’t de-Christmas itself, I have too much underwear for my drawers (pun unintentional), I’m fat and my house is full of chocolate and biscuits that I bought and my guests didn’t eat.

I’m fully aware that I’m being unreasonable about all of this. Anyone else joining me in the unreasonable corner today?

I am going to skip the gym tonight - pointless while there is still so much chocolate in the house!! I may contemplate moving the towels off my cross trainer and give it a dust!!

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 03/01/2018 11:37

EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Highly hormonal and in a bad mood Blush

ThomasRichard · 03/01/2018 11:41

Also: the DC are still not back at school! Why?! I’ve had 2 weeks of dealing with their over-excited bad behaviour, surely it’s someone else’s turn now? I go back to work tomorrow and it will be a blessed relief.

I don't want to walk the dog. The dog doesn't want to go out in the cold. We both look outside longingly, willing my native Californian skies and warmth to appear and coax us into the great outdoors. It won't happen.

So I'll have another brandy cream coffee while he chews his rawhide bone pretending it's the one from the New Year's leg o' lamb.

Post Christmas blues have set in.

Todayfrustratingday · 03/01/2018 11:43

Today I have unreasonably emailed a colleague to ask a perfectly simple question only to see her then post on Facebook that she's had enough of being emailed sh*t.

ginplease8383 · 03/01/2018 11:44

I’m grumpy that my house is a mess. Had an important job interview yesterday and DH looked after the kids. He did just that and nothing else whereas I’d have unloaded dishwasher, swept, mopped floor. He basically just watched tv all day.

ThomasRichard · 03/01/2018 11:51

ginplease please move to the reasonable corner.

gin

i have one of those too.
I was working yesterday all day 8am-5pm. Before leaving home for work I asked DH (who has already had the previous day off work and was off yesterday too if he would please load the dishwasher. DH said he would. I came home from work to find he had hand washed about a third of the dirty plates etc and the rest was still on the counter top. Why could he not manage to load the dishwasher: Answer: He was going to....................

My Mum is doing free emergency childcare for us today as DH got called into work last minute. Which is very much appreciated, but... she never puts dd (2y/o) down for a nap so she will be miserable and cranky by the time I get in, she lets dd get out all her toys (and I mean everything) it will be covering the whole downstairs of my house when I get home from work. Dd is allowed to get away with murder with my mum, which means later on today or tomorrow when we then say no to something, we get a screaming tantrum from dd because Nanny has let her.

I know I'm being ungrateful, Mum only has her once in a blue moon and dd loves her so I let it slide and I will clear up with a glass of wine once I've put dd to bed early tonight!

bellalou1234 · 03/01/2018 12:02

It's 12 my dm has already phoned me 4 times. I'm on night shift tonight and have to try to do some essay that's due soon 🙈

ny20005 · 03/01/2018 12:03

I'm grumpy as I wanted dh to take me out to visit a friend this morning & he says he's too busy

I've a broken leg & cant drive & have been stuck in the house for nearly 2 weeks now

I'm bored of Netflix & box sets 😩

StupidSlimyGit · 03/01/2018 12:05

I have a chance to sees family member Friday who lives abroad, I love him dearly and it'll be the first time he has met DD but I'm so grumpy about the time and effort it will take to get to where he is. Unreasonable soon as he is flying to England.
The wind and pain in my waiting to be repaired shoulder kept me up all night, I tried to lie in this morning while xp had DD, he bought her to my bedroom three times in half hour till I got out of bed, I am now at work till 11pm. Have DD tonight so wont sleep when I get home and don't want to bother moving now.
The OW who xp cheated on me with and who I almost left my job because of has been fired. (wonderful). But I'm so annoyed that they couldn't tell everyone why she was fired! Completely unreasonable, whatever type of skanky slutty bitch she is she deserves not to have everyone know she's also a their and prolific liar I suppose, still sick of hearing her mom moan about her poor dd who lost her job.

I could go on. Today will be a very unreasonable day for me I fear Confused

Greenteandchives · 03/01/2018 12:09

Someone who doesn’t live in my road is parked outside my house. Totally unreasonable as it is not my bit of road. It just riles me. I don’t want to look at someone else’s car. My New Years resolution was to let it go, but it still riles me when someone from the next road fancies ‘my’ bit of ‘my’ road for their car. Grin

Liskee · 03/01/2018 12:09

The chicken isn’t heating up fast enough and DS1 won’t stop whining. I need to hoover. Lucky DH got to go to work today. And today is the day DS2 has learnt it REALLY annoys DS1 when he lies on top of him, so that’s just the icing on the cake Angry AIBU to just want to sack it all off and go to bed?? Yes, probably, cos I’m a bloody adult and all.

TheQueenOfWands · 03/01/2018 12:09

I'm inexplicably annoyed about Younique.

SiL has been indoctrinated and one of her friends/captors/colleagues reckons she's earnt 34K this year 'all from a £69 starter set'.

They shouldn't peddle this bullshit.

ftw · 03/01/2018 12:14

Kids are still home. How? How? This holiday has lasted for 756 days already. And there’s still another 87 to go.

JennyOnAPlate · 03/01/2018 12:16

I am very annoyed that my house won’t tidy itself. The kids have friends coming over tomorrow so it needs doing in case their mums stay for a cuppa Grin

Glumglowworm · 03/01/2018 12:17

I have to go back to work tomorrow

I had to get up early on my last day off because the plumber was coming

I can’t have an afternoon nap because I have an appointment (I also know that a nap would mean I don’t sleep tonight which is bad but I’m still pouting about it)

Idontdowindows · 03/01/2018 12:22

I'm very unreasonable about having a very very bad cold today that's stopping me from packing more boxes for our move.

I gave you a slice of cucumber last week body, what's wrong with you!

TieGrr · 03/01/2018 12:36

I have a spot on my jaw. I'm in my 30s, FGS. I thought acne was a teenage thing.

sparechange · 03/01/2018 12:37

I'm 38 weeks pregnant
DH has had the audacity to take the car to be serviced which means driving to the other side of London because that's the only place that services our random make of car.
Then he needs to go to B&Q to pick up bits to finish all the jobs I've discovered need doing in the last few days and am insisting he does this week and then do A Big Shop and come home. And then go to the tip with all the stuff I've decided needs to be removed from the house and possibly do a second run with garden waste because there is a bush in the garden giving me funny looks and I think I want it gone.

My job is to take the dog to the park behind the house and throw balls for her in lieu of a proper walk. How very dare he

YouCantArgueWithStupid · 03/01/2018 12:40

@sparechange I remember with DD1 that rage. Labour started pretty soon after Smile

I'm only 30 weeks atm and have just general hormone rage 😂

KTDaly · 03/01/2018 12:41

Still not speaking to my family after a stupid row on NYD regarding money spent on sisters Xmas presents and her contribution to paying for surprise party for our Father Sad

hidinginthegarden · 03/01/2018 12:43

I'm irrationally annoyed that my DCs want lunch. I've only just cleared up their breakfast/snack dishes ( which i
Only made half an hour ago) and sat down!! Oh and that everyone else was organised enough to book the trampoline park and it's too busy for me to take them for a bounce till much later!!

Fevertree · 03/01/2018 12:47

I'm being unreasonable to be upset that I can't go on a night away with my husband that we decided upon instead of Christmas gifts. Because my mum can't offer childcare as she is having an op the week before 😞
