To be very annoyed with Eon!

So Eon sent me a bill saying they estimate I have used £349's worth of gas in one day. They have clearly made a mistake as the starting metre reading is incorrect. My account is now in debit and I'm worried it will affect my direct debit so want it sorted asap.

I phoned up 2 weeks ago and was passed onto 3 different people and was told it was sorted and if I didn't receive a bill within a few days then call back. It's been 2 weeks and my account hasn't changed and I've recieved no bill.

I have phoned up this evening (currently still on hold!) And I have spoken to a total of 5 people. One cut me off, one put me on hold for 20 minutes and then put me through to someone else without telling me or the guy he put me through to. He was very rude with me at first but then put me through to someone else. I'm now on hold and have been for 30 minutes!

I'm so angry right now. I want to complain but worried I will end up being passed from pillar to post and have the piss taken out of me again! I just want it sorted because I'm not paying for that much gas nor am I having my future bills based on their cock up!

Eon are complete arseholes, they have caused no end of stress and problems for my parents, including sending estimated bills for thousands of pounds, misreading the meter and more bills for extortionate amounts of money and then not refunding for months. The latest installment is that eon requested a new meter to be fitted, which was done at much inconvenience for my parents. They've had another ridiculous bill which is incorrect and now eon are accusing them of tampering with the meter and don't believe that they have had a new meter fitted, so are going to send someone out to check (yet another day that someone has to be at home all day!) It's farcical and they will be shot of as soon as this mess is sorted and my parents compensated. Good luck getting your money back, threaten with the ombudsman.

They're a bloody liability - ignored two years worth of meter readings and used estimates instead so we ended up owing them money, then overcharged so they ended up owing us money, refused to believe we had no power supply to the house when the external mains cable burned through and accused us of damaging the meter... Don't bother ringing, put all the facts (including the botched customer service calls) into an email and send it to the CEO's office: [email protected]
