Emotionally manipulating dc

Exh has recently met someone else choosing to see them over the dc. For example being off since before Xmas eve and saw them for 2 hrs Xmas day (did a workout and had a bath during this time) and then had them overnight last night as scheduled. No extra despite being off and is off until 8th and no contact planned despite me asking. That's the situation.
Now dd(9) tells me that her Dad was crying in bed this morning because he misses them so much. Wtf? He dropped them home at 7 even though I said they could stay until 9.30 as no school to get up for!!

AIBU thinking this is just not on and actually quite manipulative. DD came home quite teary.

Your dd is old enough to know the truth. His manupulating her is wrong and he can only do it as you are keeping his behaviour secret.

YANBU. I would tell DD that her dad has had the opportunity to see them and that if he misses them he knows what to do.

Make it clear that it's his choice.

He really is manipulative. You are well rid.

OMG. Yeah, ask him to ask her when he wants to see her. Don't put up with that shit. Or offer him them for the rest of the holidays. I feel your pain. What a nightmare.

I told DD absolutely that. I explained he had All week to see them, that they were available and he knew this yet chose to do other things. I have texted him saying wtf does he think he is playing at but he is driving apparently (he lives 5 mins away so clearly driving to where ever it is he wants to be having dropped dc home early!!) I am filled with rage. Such a manipulative bastard. I am so glad to be out of the relationship!!!!
