We have been invited to an evening for a group linked to my sons school. All parents we have know of since nursery but don’t neasesarily have a lot in common with. The group know each other well and we are on the perifery, invited as my son is good friends with another boy. AIBU that I don’t want to spend my new year with people I don’t know or don’t gel with when my child would have a ball with his friends? Gone are the days when I went to a night club and danced all night but I’d rather either be at home or be with people I know better but my son is so so excited about it .. help!
