In. I've been following her situation for over a year now since reading an Amnesty report about her.

I've asked for the spelling in the thread title to be corrected.

Last I read was the announcement from Iran that she was now eligible for early release. That prompted a flurry of hope that she might get home for Christmas, but no more developments yet.

Been following her story closely in the Guardian. Must have been a nightmare having Bojo go over there to 'fight' her cause but her husband seems to be very stoic. I'd have been in despair.

I so hope she is released soon.

Most definitely. Poor woman. Heart-breaking. Makes me so sick to live on the same planet as anyone who can do this to the innocent mother of a small and innocent child.

Praying for her release, her physical, mental and spiritual health, and for her family who must be worried to distraction.

Apparently, instead of releasing Nazanin, the government confirmed that they were going to uphold the death sentence on an Iranian-Swedish (?) scientist because they suspected him of working with Mossad - as if a scientist with dual nationality who had worked fpr Mossad would take up a job at Tehran University.

My father used to work in Iran, I'm so glad that he doesn't any more.

I'm in. My heart goes out to her and her family. Her daughter isn't much older than my son and I can't bear to imagine what it feels like to be separated, and the impact it will have on the whole family.
