I’m off to solicitors to change my will!
I work long hours and am often travelling for work so struggle to fit in personal appointments such as this
Still working these 3 days but from home so can move things around to suit
Making me feel a bit sad though - yet another reminder of how lonely I sometimes feel - also the terminal illness of a family member who was diagnosed in mid December prompted me into thinking about it as my DC are now adults and in different circumstances (partners, property etc) than they were when I made the last one

I really need to sort out my will.

Today I am taking the dog to the vet. He was bitten by another dog a couple of months ago, had antibiotics at the time and today, it’s erupted again with a fountain of pus. The wound looks like raw meat. It stinks. I don’t understand. It’s been healed for weeks.

I'm actually struggling a little bit today. Always do at this point of Christmas. I feel like I should be relaxing & taking it easy because it's the only time of year when I do but I'm so bad at it and end up feeling twitchy and wobbly instead. I've loads of relaxing things I could be doing (reading, dvds, lego etc.) but because I've nothing concrete to do I can't settle. Maybe taking the decorations own tomorrow will help. Right now I think I'll do a 'hunt the bits of pork pie' round the house for DDog and then start some Lego with a dvd. Not very strange and not that exciting.

It is my kids' 23rd birthday. Off to visit ds in a while, as he's in residential, to give him his presents. Then taking dd to a cat cafe to play with moggies. She wants us to go for sushi afterwards (I think I might be a bit hungry after as it's not my kind of thing). Then a relaxing evening packing to go and visit family tomorrow for a few days.

Cleaning my bathroom everytime somebody throws up in it lurgy has landed

Building a lego fortress with DS, it was his Christmas present and he loves it. I find this time after Christmas quite bittersweet and melancholy, so much build up, hype and excitement for one day, which is over very swiftly.
I have cleaning and housework I need to do though I'm procrastinating. Doing lego with DS is more fun.

Well neither strange or unusual for me is I'm working this evening, very strange and unusual is I've had a lie in until 11!
Someone kindly put my horses out for me this morning so after finishing work late I've actually got to sleep as long as I needed rather than dragging myself up after 5 hours Smile

trinity0097 · 27/12/2017 11:42

I’m not at work, this is strange!
I am sat once sofa in my PJs and I have no intention of moving or getting dressed today! No reason, just because!

ShutUpBaz · 27/12/2017 11:45

Was meant to be at work but I'm off sick with a stomach bug. I just want normality back. This Christmas has been a write off. Bring on 2018.

I'm going to my mums for an Italian Christmas Day.
We have English food on Xmas day (dh and his side are English) and used to do Italian on Boxing Day but we were too full/hungover from Xmas day so now we do it on the 27th.
It will be about 6 courses of delicious food but I'm kind of craving some time on my own after all the festivities.

Ironing. My Ds just left for his dad's. so I have five days to clear the ironing pile, spring clean and freshen up some of the paintwork before he gets back. I've had enough sitting around watching Tv 😊

NoMudNoLotus · 27/12/2017 12:10
