Have posted in chat but got no answers, seeing a gp at 9 but hoping someone else has experience!

Have NC for this..

Walked into the lounge to find dc 16months with styrofoam in his mouth, have removed the bits I could see, google tells me it's not toxic but the concern is if they eat a large chunk... I have no idea how much he's eaten but it isn't bothering him. Anyone have any experience?? I have no idea where he even got it from 😭😭😭 feeling like the worst parent ever right now!

i would imagine it would pass thru by morning poop time, dont panic just monitor dc and im sure you will be fine... and if you are really stressing see if you have a health line type thing you can call for advice, non emergency line?

@shakingmyhead1 sorry should of said it happened xmas day (when I originally posted) nothings come out yet but he's had one extremely liquid stool 🙁

I wouldn't worry tbh, I have 3 DC and they've all eaten random stuff 😆

Currently at the hospital waiting for scans 😭

from previous experience if it's loose like as that in a bean bag it will make an appearance in the morning but will be difficult to flush away as it floats very well! Think millionaire shortbread!

@2beesornot2beesthatisthehoney it more solid packaging- they can cause blockages apparently (hence us being at hospital)

One liquid stool could indicate a blockage, as water can pass but not solids. I hope he's ok.
(If he does end up on the childrens ward, you are going to hear about a variety of weird and wonderful accidents. Do try to keep a straight face, people can be sensitive...)

@IrkThePurist we're no stranger to the children's ward lol- little dude has health issues anyway
