Live service is the pre-runner to full service UC. It runs alongside legacy claims to JSA etc.

I don't know, I'm confused too. Hopefully someone who understands will be here soon!

It means that any new claimants claim ‘old’ benefits instead

The system isn’t working so after 7 years they are delaying it further

Rossigigi · 27/12/2017 00:45

Doesn't it just mean the 'gateway' is shut- they will be using a new 'gateway' for new claimants.
However if you've already started a claim not to worry it will just go through the old gateway.
So basically the computer system- the gateway they use.

It means that if you live in a live rather than full service UC you can't claim UC after 31/12/17.
You will claim old benefits instead until the area changes to full services and you are migrated to UC.

I am moving to a 'live' area from a drill service area does that mean I will go back to the old system??
