Venting of - Family Members Being Twats thread

Most of us suffer don’t we?

Mine is my niece, she is horrible. Makes our whole Christmas painful from the second she arrives. She’s about 8 years younger than me and childless, makes a point of hating our kids.

Christmas changes from next year onwards.

Anyone else want to rant.

Mine was always my Uncle, but for the last three christmases he's been heavily involved with a religious group (more of an odd sort of cult, really) and considers us beneath him. It makes my heart leap each year when my Mum declares he won't be present for christmas because just before he found God he told me that DS1's Autism doesn't exist and I just needed to smack him frequently. How I didn't insert the turkey into his orifices is still beyond me. God can keep that prick for a few more christmases.

Oh god, my sister is uptight and self-absorbed and a TOTAL control freak. Which would be fine...except I am too. No way we’re getting out of this week without killing each other.

MIL went into a rant about why should taxpayers pay for alcoholics on the street 'these people need to learn to take care of themselves' she's like a child parroting my BIL's opinions. Then get all silent and offended if you challenge. Oh yes, and she went on about it in front of my mum whose father died homeless and alcoholic 😟

F - he’s a wankbadger. Called out of necessity not because he wanted to. Not sent any presents for his GD, despite asking what she wanted and me giving him something off her list. Don’t know why I’m so surprised, he’s disappointed me for for over 30 years, why should this year be any different?

I haven’t let it ruin the day as we’ve had a brilliant day DH, DD, DM, DSDad, BIL, SIL & FIL. Fuck him, his missed the magic of Christmas through the eyes of a 6yo who thought it was the best day of her life 😃

My sil, fuck she fucks me off. I try to rise above but she is just so fucking annoying, she talks all the time without ever saying anything i didn’t know, she’s boring, arrogant, tight, selfish and her children are miserable, i cannot stand the woman

Omg. Rick, we could have the same SIL, except mine doesn't have kids no man would put up with her long enough she's so annoying. The way she speaks is so rude, and the world is out to get her, no one else can suffer, she's always more worse off than everyone, financially, mentally, even her cold was worse than mine

Hmm. Yes and I’ll probably start a whole thread of my own about this but mine is my pair of relatives who live on the opposite side of the world deciding that next Xmas they are coming to stay for a fortnight, despite me not having room, beds, table space, budget, time or patience and that it would mean I have to not see a very close (immediate) relative who for very very valid reasons would want to spend Xmas with them.

I’ve tried ‘no’ and it’s not working.

My sister. Came with her 2 dc. Contribution: fuck all. Did nothing, literally nothing. Not even carried anything to the table. Barely ate as 'she only has a small appetite'. This is the opposite of true - she has the figure to prove it. Just snarfed the wine and snoozed and g rumped about the noise. Didn't thank anyone for the food, drink, hosting, presents.

Had said her children had planned to buy our mum (their gran) a present. She does a lot for them. My mum has had a shit year and she was really touched by that. Nope, nothing.

My PIL's were a twattish double act all the time and never failed to piss me off/entertain me with their twattish behaviour.

There was the year they claimed Christmas lunch was ruined because........ of carrot batons!! They claimed that FIL could only eat carrots cut in circles and therefore had ruined Xmas lunch as he would now have to for go the carrots!! For the record there was nothing medically wrong with him and the carrot batons were in a serving dish for anyone to help themselves to if they so wished , therefore not even on his plate.

Then there was Red Cabbage & Apple gate. Another xmas i placed a serving dish of red cabbage and apple on the table along with a wide selection of other veg. Well the drama that ensued would have you believe I had dished up Dog Shit on toast. Ling story short they claimed I had " ruined yet another Christmas dinner"!! They claimed bloatedness and ate nothing but whilst me and dh cleared the table after everyone else had finished eating, they brought in a 6 pack of Butterkist Toffee Popcorn from thier car and sat on our sofa tucking in to it with a pair of faces like slapped arses!!

There are 18 years of twattish behaviour from them I could share with you all but I would be here all night.
FIL is no longer with us but that has not stopped MIL being a twat. For the past 2 years I have gone no contact with MIL. DH isn't though and I would never stop him. However it does impact on us still. I have spent today celebrating Xmas alone with our dc, whilst dh spends it at Twat Towers with MIL.

My Bilx2 and SILx2 are all cunts they treat my DH LIKE shit and they're selfish horrible bitchy bastards can't stand them! My other BIL and SIL are lovely and we had them for Christmas dinner today and it was just perfect without the mega twats

Oh god, yeah. Racist ill-educated horrible bollocks spouted by one family member who then went on to slag off other family members. Trouble is, this person learnt all the shitty prejudices from an older family member and simply parrots what has been heard. Just awful. Thank god I rarely see the person.
