Flowers I'm so sorry

Lellikelly26 · 25/12/2017 21:55

No of course not that’s really upsetting and being Christmas just makes it worse. Be there for them as much as you can and be kind to yourself of course it is perfectly normal to feel overwhelmed when both of your parents are ill on Christmas day

Flowers Poor you, OP, that sounds a truly difficult way to spend your christmas. How is your Dad now? If you can't get off to sleep tonight at least try and rest a little with dimmed lights and a warm blanket. You might not feel like it but you'll be running on empty after a day like this.

I have a lot of empathy for you.

I've spent the last 4 weeks in ICU with a loved one. It's emotionally draining. I hope all pans out ok for you and tomorrow brings you much relief.

You have my sympathy. My DF is in hospital just now and Christmas has been shit trying to hold it together for my mum and still try to enjoy it with my DS. All the while my cunt of a DH is guilt tripping me for spreading myself too thinly when I'm actually at breaking point

violetbluesky · 25/12/2017 22:32

pM me if you want to offload by the way. I'll listen and we can feel like shite together

Thank you for your messages of support.Dad doing ok and mum therefore getting a break to recover herself.
