I bought DH a selection of coffees and a mug. DH bought me a selection of teas and a mug.

We managed to buy each other the same book and dvd last year! Was hilarious 😁

Last year my (twin) sister and I bought our brother the exact same gift. We decided it was clearly a twin thing.

My sister and I bought each other the Russell Howard DVD one year

DH and I often exchange matching DVDs

Me and dp accidentally bought each other the same gift set of socks. I was happy because I wanted some when I bought his!!

My friend and I bought eachother the same cup and the same nail polishes x 3 and my mum and I bought each other the same body lotion

DB and I have given matching Father's Day cards in the past. DH and I gave each other the same membership for our first Christmas together, except that he was more confident in the relationship and got joint membership whereas I'd got him individual.

DH and his DBro got each other the same dvd one year.

DH got it for Dbro because it's Dbro's favourite film.

DBro got it for DH because... its DBro's favourite film.

My DH & I bought each other mugs and coasters one year. And complementary mugs another year.

This year it didn't happen because he bought me presents he knew I wouldn't like and made a point of telling me he had kept the receipts so I could take them back

One year I bought 5 copies of a book, intending to keep one and give 4 to friends and family.

I ended up giving all 5 and as I handed my DM that last one I said to her how much I had wanted to keep it for myself but I thought she’d really like it, and I was going to buy myself another copy.

How thrilled she was as she handed me back a wrapped copy of the exact same book.

We did this the Christmas before we moved in together. We havent bought each other presents since (about 30 years ago). Reading all the threads about present disappointment I am glad we do it this way!
