To worry about ds and tent

My ds got a tent for christmas.
He is very keen to put it up and sit in it obviously.
We live near a huge field but he wants to put it on the grass verge outside of our house.
On the grass verge he would not be in the way of anyone.
My neighbours are mostly elderly though and im worrying it will bother them.

Part of me thinks what the heck, there is no harm being done.
The other side is stressing and worrying about neighbours.

Aibu for stressing so much about it?

Age?

brizzledrizzle · 25/12/2017 16:34

How old is he?

Allthewaves · 25/12/2017 16:35

Hang on on he doesn't want to sleep in it. I would put it up

Sparklingbrook · 25/12/2017 16:35

Mmmm. I am not sure. I can see why he would be excited to try it out but grass verge not ideal. Plus rain and mud etc.

I can also see the neighbours not being thrilled. they won't know it's your son.

Do you have a back garden ? If so couldn't he put it up there ?

Wolfiefan · 25/12/2017 16:41

Roadside? I wouldn't. Drunk driver or careless one! Garden or field.

Gerbil17 · 25/12/2017 16:41

Hes 13. Hes not planning to sleep in it. Just to chill out in with his friends. Theyve decided to start putting it up now, in the dark rather than earlier or tomorrow lol.

I looked out of the window before and it seems they must have went to the field after all as theyre not outside.
My garden isnt big enough for a tent, unfortunately.
Although quite pleasing as if it did he planned on using an extension to put his xbox and tv in there haha.

Im just an overly.anxious person and sometimes my worry gets in the way. I wasnt sure if i was right to be worried or overthinking

Yes to the field, not to the verge.
