I’m fuming my Christmas dinner was meant to be delivered by DPD on Wednesday it’s not here yet still says out for delivery. It’s my vegan Christmas ‘meat’ & chocolate treats. Angry

What did the retailer (and DPD) say when you chased it up, you have done that haven't you?

JustDanceAddict · 24/12/2017 19:20

DPD are usually good and give you a time slot for delivery. Have you called them/the original company you bought from?

TheHeartOfTeFiti · 24/12/2017 20:20

DPD seem to have screwed up quite massively this year! I contacted the company and all they could do was reassure me it would be okay for the food to take a day longer in transit and that it would be out that day. DPD then told them it would be Saturday, the company closed Friday for Christmas.

DPD are struggling this year.

We've had massive problems with our work parcels not going out.

Anything going through the Dagenham hub is almost certainly held up

Bombardier25966 · 24/12/2017 20:26

What does your tracking say?

userlotsanumbers · 24/12/2017 20:26

Second that for DPD struggling this year. My mate had a parcel that was 'on the van' and 'next parcel to be delivered' for two days this week. Maybe not, as it's still not here.

Do you have a backup meal? Just make your favourite of whatever you have in the cupboard?

Was supposed to get a delivery from DPD on Friday, but it didn't come . Instead I got an email from them at 9 in the evening saying it would come on Wednesday, despite it being received by my local depot at noon. Resigned myself to the fact it would arrive after Christmas. 7.00am today ( Sunday) I get a text saying it will come between 12.30 and 1.30. 12.20 I notice van on our drive. Driver says he has to wait until 12.30 because if he delivers early he'll be fined £25!! Made him a coffee and mince pie to eat while he waited. He said it had been mad this year!!

Website still says out for delivery

They were supposed to pick up something from us on Thursday but ... nothing. Nobody turned up, no delivery slot, no reason.

TheHeartOfTeFiti · 27/12/2017 22:21

Now they’ve destroyed my parcel because some of it was fresh food, what a waste.
