Got a delivery on Thursday, with all our xmas stuff including the dvd for the Christmas Eve box, I didn't even think to check it. So cue the opening of the Christmas Eve boxes with very exciting children, only to discover they've left the bloody security thing on the dvd case!!!!! And there's nothing I can do about it until Tuesday! I'm so annoyed!!

Will the police turn up if you try and watch it?

MrsU88 · 24/12/2017 19:08

If you Google how to remove there may be a way to do it yourself....I think there was when we got a dvd with security thing still on

zippyswife · 24/12/2017 19:09

A bit annoying. Not as annoying as Iceland delivering my food order yesterday minus the turkey ham stuffing and trimmings Confused. That was pretty annoying.

confusedlittleone · 24/12/2017 19:11

@Hilda40 no but I can't figure out how to open the case without breaking it all?

TheHeartOfTeFiti · 24/12/2017 19:11

Cut it out?!

AuroraFloyd · 24/12/2017 19:12

Rent the movie from Amazon?

LittleMe03 · 24/12/2017 19:13

Stick a knife down the side of it and it might slide out. It did when it happened to me. Cracked the case slightly Smile

You can let the kids watch it thou and then return on Tuesday and say it came with a cracked case Wink

Hilda40 · 24/12/2017 19:13

Exactly. Break the case and then consider pursuing Asda for a replacement in the New Year.

SadTrombone · 24/12/2017 19:13

Just break the case? Butter knife or something?

LunarGirl · 24/12/2017 19:18

Is it the red tag in the middle of the box? Do you have a strong magnet? If you do, place the magnet on the red bit and pull it out. If not, you will probably have to break the case. Use a butter knife, slide it in the top right corner and pull apart. Be careful not to yank too hard in case it snaps the disc.

Pippinfi · 24/12/2017 19:19

Try putting a magnet against. I've done this with a clothing one that hadn't been removed upon purchase.

NextInLine · 24/12/2017 19:22

Magnet, failing that a mallet.
There is probably a YouTube video to remove them somewhere.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 24/12/2017 19:25

To be fair, breaking in to the case is going to be a great Christmas Eve activity for you and the kids. Way more fun than just watching a DVD :)

WorldPeasAndSweetcorn · 24/12/2017 19:27

Just smash the case and retrieve the dvd, that the important bit

dingdongdigeridoo · 24/12/2017 19:29

There are tonnes of guides online. Had this myself with a coat that still had a tag on.

Is it the red tag kind?

NapQueen · 24/12/2017 20:55

Just break the case.
