OK not really an AIBU but slightly panicking here. My DD has optic nerve hypoplasia (under developed optic nerve) in one eye, associated with a brain disorder and learning difficulties. She is a teenager. This evening she was shaking her head about so much that I asked her to stop. About 10 minutes later she asked me to clean her glasses as her vision had gone blurry. I cleaned them but she said she had double vision in one eye (the one that has ONH) and black spots. I called an emergency eye clinic and they said if it hasn't gone by morning then bring her in. I'm so worried it is a detaching retina, but then before bed she said she had a headache, so maybe it's a migraine? I have migraines, but she has never had one before.
Can anybody give me some theories as to what it might be? Obviously we will take her in the morning if it is not better, and the Dr on the phone said even if it is better to make an appointment after Christmas and have her checked out.
