To think a company cannot blame the courier?

Of course we all know some couriers are shit ... or some just have drivers who give the company a bad name.

I ordered something, it was meant to be delivered yesterday. Apparently it’s not the companies fault because they sent it out at the correct time and it’s the drivers fault.

If the company has dispatched on time via the correct service then yes it is the delivery companies fault if it does not turn up as arranged.

So how is that not the drivers fault?

I just mean the company should take responsibility and not just say it’s not their fault.

There isn’t much they can do though. They will be on the phone to the delivery company complaining heavily about the mess up. Likely getting postage charges back which then you should be refunded for the inconvience and the fact the delivery you paid for wasn’t what you got.

Legally, the company is actually responsible for it arriving, not the courier. You have a contract with the seller, not the courier. The seller has the deal with the courier. If it doesn't arrive, it's the company's responsibility to sort it out with the courier or get another one over to you.
