I’ve had depression on and off for three years, but recently everything seems to have gone to shit worse than ever, and every night I’ve been silently crying myself to sleep until about two am, and i really have no one to talk to anymore. I’m at the end of my tether with everything

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time, do you want to tell us more about it?

Flowers please remember that these feelings will pass and that they are caused by an illness, they are not you and they don't accurately reflect your life. You can talk to us, what is it that's bothering you?

ItsChristmoose · 22/12/2017 23:21

Have you ever received treatment? Or gone to your GP? Can you make an appointment? It's not your fault you're feeling like this and you are in no way alone in suffering from depression. I hope you will reach out for some support. In the meantime, chat away here about anything you want.

Bless you op, Vent here as much as you like people are here to listen Flowers

Crashbangwhallop · 22/12/2017 23:27

I feel you. Have been here many times but the feelings do change after a while and get better. I’ve had many ups and downs and it gets very hard to cope but please remember there definitely will be good times again. Chin up and a have a good rant here if you need to. Sometimes it just helps to write it out.

So sorry to hear this OP Flowers would you like to talk a bit more about the situation? Flowers

whatthefuckmas · 23/12/2017 00:36

thank you for all your support xx i feel so trapped by this constant cycle of every day being the same, not getting out by myself, and not knowing who I am either. I really understand that every person feels like this at some point, if not all the time, but I feel so lonely and trapped even with family around me.

Please go and see your gp. I have been through this too and the first step is often the hardest but it is a step in the right direction. It took me a long time to get where I am today (happy! Sent think that's happen!) And it was hard work but worth it. I found putting thoughts online really helped when I felt too lonely to talk to anyone in real life. Holidays can be especially hard.i am so sorry you're going through this, but please try to see your doctor asap. X

Battleax · 23/12/2017 05:27

What treatment are you receiving and when was it last reviewed?

lynmilne65 · 23/12/2017 08:57

Depression is the pits but agree with posters re Gp. My antids work quite well but you need to help yourself too!! Not easy

lostincumbria · 23/12/2017 09:07

If everything feels too much and there's nobody to talk to, you can always call the Samaritans for free on 116 123.
