Too stressed for Christmas

Hi everyone Thanks,

Feeling a bit low. Lately it's been crap at work. I transferred myself to this new branch almost 3 months ago, so fairly new. I don't particularly like management or workmates. And they don't seem to love me either. Problem is: I go stressed every day at work and come back angry AND stressed.

Now, I have 6 days off for Christmas and I can disconnect. I just over-think work, colleagues, everything.

How do you disconnect from work completely and get rid of anxiety?

I’ve been there.
Not so much this year as I’m on mat leave.
Things you could try...
Set up a bath in the dark with candles, some lovely smellies and relax, focus on your breathing - maybe listen to a mindfulness thing while you’re in there, or a radio 4 comedy podcast is always good.
Have a favourite meal and a glass of wine
Binge on a good box set
Put on some loud cheesy music in the car, whatever makes you want to dance

Two ways you can handle new work situation. Either accept it as just a job and smile through it day to day, or think of things you could do. Is there one colleague who you could befriend/ bring coffee to? I find flattery is always a good one in the work place! Even if you feel false doing it!
