To feel mardy about sending this gift

Lighthearted because I'm going to do it when I can be bothered to haul my arse off the sofa but...

Me and my family got my sister a going away present as she was moving to a faraway country with her fiancé.

I was supposed to give it to her in person when we had farewell drinks. But we never had farewell drinks (I got in touch 3 weeks before they left to organise but she was always busy - understandable except they met her fiancés sister for drinks! ANYWAY).

Now she's gone I have to go to busy post office and probably shell out £££ for postage (big box).

Am I being a mean-spirited twat or would you also feel sighy?

Would probably feel a bit sighy about it too. But would arrange a collection through Parcel2go rather than stand in a post office queue just before Christmas! Is usually a lot cheaper too. Hopefully that will take some of the stress away from the situation.

Her fiancés sister probably organised a time for that 3 weeks well in advance of 3 weeks before they left. I doubt i’d Have much time if you’d left it that late to organise what with the huge logistics of the move and many people to see. Send the present.

You could wait till after Xmas to post it. Shorter queues then and anyway, you were busy, right?

@Mxyzptlk
Ha! I wish! My Mum just had a massive go at me over the phone for not having got my finger out and done it earlier (shes right, its been two weeks, I just couldn't be bothered before so Xmas queues totally my own fault).

I'm just pissed off that even with 3 weeks notice she couldn't find a lunchtime or evening to meet with her beloved (snort) sister, and now I have to shell out and go through hassle of sending this fucking gift.

Its annoying because the gift was my idea and its a good one, I was really excited to give it to her, and now Im like....urgh.
