Twitter. Why can't I read the comments anymore?

If I click on the comments symbol to read what everyone has written it now just comes up for me to reply to the tweet. I use to be able to read the comments. Anyone know why?

I've always had this which is why I never use it! Would be pleased to learn how to change it.

Ah fab. Thank you. It was really annoying me. I def used to click on the speech bubble to look at the comments think it must have changed yesterday or the day before.

I have had the same issue. I wish they would inform users before they start tinkering with the site.
