It start at 7.40pm. I finish work at 7.30 on Christmas Day, and it's a fifteen minute walk home. (That's if I leave on time) this means I will miss the start. The BBC is being very unreasonable in not scheduling it till 8pm, so I can get home and curl up in my PJ's with a Cat and a cuppa!

BBC IBU ;)

Though it’s worth noting that if you don’t have a recording facility on your tv/set top box, iplayer allows you to rewind to the start of the programme currently being shown live - i.e, you can get home, get settled, get tea and allow cat to curl up then rewind on iplayer :)

Hatsoffdear · 20/12/2017 12:01

God I hate that programme. Who wants to see all that? Love the characters and the history but it’s a lot too graphic for me. If I could have missed my own kids births I would have. Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 20/12/2017 12:04

Unfortunately I don't have a rewind facility.😩

Oh no! Do you not have any way to access iplayer at all? E.g tablet, laptop etc?

Toddlerteaplease · 20/12/2017 12:32

Yes of course. But it's not the point!

Pfft just run Wink

OR treat yourself to cab. Christmas present to yourself!

SparklyUnicornTractors · 20/12/2017 13:20

I second the cab plan! Priorities here Grin

What's Christmas without blood, gore, screaming, social justice and nuns eating cake? I love it too.

babblingbumblingbandofbaboons · 20/12/2017 13:42

Oh I realise it’s not the point, damn BBC messing up your comfy post work plans!! My suggestion was you can rewind on iplayer after getting yourself settled Xmas Smile

coconutnut · 25/12/2017 20:32

Are you watching it?! I don't want to be in tears on Christmas night but I am!!

Polarbearflavour · 25/12/2017 20:39

Maybe I’m just cynical but I’m finding this episode incredibly soppy and silly! Hmm

FuzzyCustard · 25/12/2017 20:41

The first five minutes is always faffing about, so don't worry!

coconutnut · 25/12/2017 20:43

Yeah, I was in tears when he was still born. But then when she looked at the house and he started crying I was a bit Confused 'Christmas miracle?!'
But still good Grin

cloudyweewee · 25/12/2017 20:44

Careful you don't get trapped under your cat. I made the mistake of leaving my tea to brew in the kitchen while I sat down to watch the first 5 minutes. Cat jumped on my lap and pinned me down. No tea. Comfy cat.

Showergel1 · 25/12/2017 20:52

It's not like it used to be. Very depressing episode for Christmas day. As the Queen's speech highlighted we've had a tough year as it is.
PIL are enjoying reminiscing about the snow of 1962-63 but apart from that this is rubbish.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/12/2017 20:57

So much for escaping early. I got moved to another ward. Left half an hour late. Ha Eva splitting headache a d now am trapped under the Cat. So missed it all!

Toddlerteaplease · 25/12/2017 21:40
