Or is this fate?

Met a guy on tinder about 2 years ago - had a first date and things went well, but I wasn't ready to date and I chose not to see him again.

So I came across him again on tinder a couple of nights ago and his location was 'less than a mile away' - he was visiting his mum who recently moved to my street and I just happen to match with him after being off tinder for months.

We're going to meet up again but I can't help feeling that this is meant to be? Have I been watching too many romantic movies?

yes you have, but fuck it, have fun! (and don't mention the whole fate thing to him and start proposing just yet)

MissMudskipper · 19/12/2017 18:27

Agreed with DrRanjsRightEyebrow - yes you've been watching too many romantic films and definitely don't mention fate to him otherwise I have a feeling you may not see him again! Have fun on your date Smile

No such thing as fate, its just random chance. But why does that make it any less of a good thing?

missladybird · 19/12/2017 18:39

I definitely won't be mentioning the fate thing Grin

It's a christmas miracle! A worthy modern day romantic film. Good luck op!

RestingGrinchFace · 19/12/2017 18:55

Well let's face if you hadn't been watching too many there would be something seriously wrong with you. Go have fun and stay safe!

WishingOnABar · 19/12/2017 19:09

You should absolutely mention fate. Also, wear a wedding dress on the date so he knows you will look good in one Grin

Just kidding of course, have fun op

Serendipity Xmas Wink

It’s obviously not fate - but sometimes you do end up in just the right place at the right time, in my experience. Who knows if this is one of those times or not? But I matched with my boyfriend when he was one of the closest people I’d ever seen on tinder, even though at the time he lived on the other side of the Atlantic...it was the first day I’d used it and a couple of weeks later he’d have been back at home and I’d never have even seen him...

Serendipity is the word I was looking for! Thanks Emily! I just think it's really strange that our paths have crossed again. He's a pilot so he's always here, there and everywhere.

Fate..... or he's a really commited stalker?

Have you had independent confirmation of his mother's existence?

missladybird · 19/12/2017 21:04

I've fb stalked her which is as good as!

You need to watch Serendipity if you haven't already! Read your post and thought of this film.

And if you've seen it, watch it again!
