To ask why the campaign against rape as a weapon has died?

There was a great campaign recently to stop rape as a weapon of war. Many feminists were active in pushing for action by the UN, governments etc to stop rape being used ... as a weapon in war.

With events in Cologne, refugee camps in the middle east and even Calais, with Sweden's rape incidents going through the roof - why is there no campaigning about stopping the actions of some men who feel they can use rape as a weapon of war, a tool of invasion and a way of converting women not of their cult?

That was a good campaign. It has gone very quiet though, maybe it petered out because it wasn't achieving much? Rape is already covered under international law as a war crime isn't it?

I don't remember the campaign but I djnt think that this is the main reason I don't understand your post.

Campaigns get switched around as the general public get bored or blind to the same campaign.

I don't think this means that people accept rape as a weapon or that people have stopped caring.

I never quite understood the logic of the campaign.

Quite how they thought they'd stop people who quite happily shoot, burn, behead people from raping I'm not sure....
