To say nothing...

I'm at work, and someone is complaining that it is too cold.

The reason it is cold is that the last person that came in didn't close the door properly.

No prizes for guessing who that was...

I sit nearest the door. I can see it is not fully closed (hadn't realised till now, as I don't feel the cold). AIBU to say and do nothing as nobody else is complaining?

Or you could be considerate?

If they're cold enough they'll go investigate. Enjoy the breeze!

Blackteadrinker77 · 18/12/2017 13:36

Why would you not just shut the door?

That's just not very nice.

Sirzy · 18/12/2017 13:38

In the time it took to write that could you not just have shut the door?

JoJoSM2 · 18/12/2017 13:39

If they're complaining that they're cold, can't you just acknowledge their comment with a not or a short remark and get back to work?

Nelly5678 · 18/12/2017 13:43

Tell them they didn't shut the door when they came in so it's self inflicted

MadForlt · 18/12/2017 14:37

I am considerate. I shut the door when I come in.

But every time that anyone else leaves the door open, it's me that closes it. Because I'm nearest.

The comment wasn't aimed at me, she was talking to a colleague, so I don't feel any compulsion to acknowledge it.
