As in actual Bisto gravy type thing? Not Bovril/Oxo?

Jaimx86 · 17/12/2017 16:40

I like to have a mug of gravy with brocolli stalks to dip in Grin My version of dunking biscuits in tea. I'm not pregnant!

HeavyMetalMummy · 17/12/2017 16:40

It's just like really thick bovril. Sounds like an amazing idea. Round it off with peanut butter on a spoon and it sounds like an awesome Sunday afternoon.

Weezol · 17/12/2017 16:40

No. I do this and I bloody love it. I feel quite decadent and bohemian when I'm having a mug of Bristol.

kaytee87 · 17/12/2017 16:41

Hot chocolate?

Weezol · 17/12/2017 16:42

Why stop at broccoli? Cracking out the stuffing balls and go wild! Grin

MongerTruffle · 17/12/2017 16:43

I like to dip bread in gravy, but drinking it straight out of a mug?!
Envy (it's never meant envy so you can guess what I'm about to say)

ForalltheSaints · 17/12/2017 16:44

Each to their own, as long as you wash the mug out afterwards.

GoldilocksAndTheThreePears · 17/12/2017 16:44

Boullion! My favourite hot drink, can be stock, can be drunk, savoury and lovely Grin

ALemonyPea · 17/12/2017 16:45

Whatever floats your boat. I often dilute an oxo cube in a mug with hot water instead of tea/coffee. So much tastier.

goodnessidontknow · 17/12/2017 20:57

Gravy in place of soup is grand 😀 I often do this when I've come home cold, it's an instant pick me up. Even better with crusty bread to dunk.

Makes me feel queezy just thinking about it.

Mind you when I was a child my Dad once used gravy granules instead of coffee to make me a drink (Mum used to keep them in an old coffee jar. Don't ask) and he added milk and sugar. When I kept complaining it tasted funny he told me there was nothing wrong with it and just get it drunk. When Mum came in I asked her and she took one sip and spat it out, immediately diagnosed the problem.

I don't know who was more indignant- Mum with Dad for making me drink something horrible, me with Dad ditto or Dad with Mum thinking that keeping gravy granules in a coffee jar was a good idea.
