To think Sophia the First is a Disney triumph?

I just think it's so clever how they manage to link all the films to it and crested a while new series as a result of something that happened in it (Eleanor), as well as the feminist angle of the series.

I like it, certainly better than a lot of the offerings on a Saturday morning! Grin

What feminist angle? The widowed mum marries a prince to look after her...

confusedlittleone · 17/12/2017 12:30

Nope, neither is Nella the princess knight

TheVanguardSix · 17/12/2017 12:41

I'll tell you what's a triumph: Family Guy. Season 17.

Supermagicsmile · 17/12/2017 12:42

I have never sat and watched it, although the dd's do sometimes. How do they link to to other things etc? :)

ijustwannadance · 17/12/2017 12:43

I'd rather watch Sheriff Callie.

It's better than a lot of Disney offerings. I like that she gets to wear outfits suitable to the occasion (when horse riding for eg). But I really wouldn't call it feminist.

I liked Sophia The First when my DD was younger.

Sophia challenges the rules when they tell her princesses / girls can't race in a horse race and some other things.

I think it was gently feminist.

Is the Mum widowed? I thought we never found out why her and the king were single?

I love it though, one of the more bearable cartoons!
