Whenever I am eating my DM without saying anything does a 'give me one' hand gesture.
She done it again today and I said 'all you have to do is ask for one' and she got defensive asking me what my problem was.

I can be sensitive but I've always taught my DC to ask for things rather than do an abrupt hand gesture.

AIBU to think that this is rude?

Yadnbu. And you aren't the one with the problem.

Id slap her hand away without a word every time she does it.

Sparklingbrook · 13/12/2017 22:41

Can she not have anything of her own?

TheDarkness · 13/12/2017 22:51

Thank you! I thought I was being over sensitive.

Sparkling she can eat a four course meal and if you've got a bag of crisps it's guaranteed you'll see her hand because she wants one.

Ooh annoying! I would announce before opening the bag that they are all mine. Angry

Maybe just not notice her gestures or ask if she's gesturing because she has wind. She'll soon realise asking politely is better.
