So I've had a crap day. Following an even craper nights sleep last night so I know I am being sensitive and grumpy but...

Me and DH are in the kitchen and are heading to the sitting room.He heads off first and I'm following behind... he turns the lights out as he goes past leaving me in the dark. I get cross with him and suggest turning the light off when someone else is in the room is 'fecking' rude.

He claims he thought I was just behind him - I had gone to get something on my way. He is now sulking bacause I 'swore' ( he doesn't like swearing and doesn't do it himself). But even if I was I just behind him he still should have left the light on.

Who is being most unreasonable?

Ummmm I am a habitual light turner offer. Blush

I blame my dad.

I dont do it because I am rude it really is habit.
It does sound lime DH thought you were behind him so was not doing it on purpose as if you were settled in that room and he just switched it off.

YABU but if you are feeling shit it happens.
Apologise and move on OP Wine

Of course he is in the wrong. Even if you were just behind him. You are still a person. A person who can turn the light off.

You are not a small child presumably?

Argh, his presumptuous rudeness is a form of arrogance.

Sorry you are having a crap day OP. I think you are maybe being a bit un reasonable and over-sensitive if you really were just behind him (or he thought that) ....I'd be glad to have one who bothered to turn the lights off at all! Go make up and try and get a better night sleep tonight. Flowers
