Did anyone else watch PMQs today? The whole performance usually induces utter rage in me (no one ever seems to directly answer a question, they jeer like idiots, etc etc)
A Tory mp (no idea of his name) stood up to do a little speech about a woman who had become head of the biggest housing trust, and see, EXCEPTIONAL women, can achieve just as much as men.
I would presume that he would view a man in that same position as the norm, rather than exceptional, but if you're a woman, apparently you have to be exceptional just to achieve as much as a mediocre man.
Now, sadly, this is probably true in a lot of areas of work, but not because women are less than men, rather because the system doesn't always support them.
The worst thing was, he looked so proud of his little speech, and probably thought he was being an excellent feminist but... no. Patronising twat.
