To ask about freezing

Ok am about to sound completely idiotic - however I’ve just for the first five ever frozen some milk (never had the need before). My question is - how long is it likely to be ok for - the week or so it has when it was frozen- 24 hours like something else you defrost (if so what’s the bloody point). Am strangely at a loss (tried googling no help!)

I’ve frozen milk before and I would not on it the day you put it in the freezer, and then the difference between that and the original use by date will be the number of days it’s good for.

However I don’t always abide by the dates. I use my nose.

I’m a “sniffer” too- just got it out to defrost and thought - god if this only lasts a day what was the point!

It should last nearly as long as it would normally. Just keep sniffing. Milk these days seems to last forever.

Freezing damages food so when it defrosts it perishes quicker
