Hoping School don’t change their mind!!

A fair few of the schools are closed tomorrow and hoping my DD’s school don’t change their mind lol. They have said they are open.
It will be icy and I think we will walk the 1 1/2 miles. Might take a couple of tumbles but i’m sure we’ll survive.

I can’t remember many days when school was closed growing up.
Only if there was issues with the heating.

And the best thing about icy days was the slides. Really feel for the kids that they can’t do this in the playground!!!

I’m hoping ours doesn’t change their mind too! School open and I have an appointment with the head teacher which has taken me weeks to get, will be fobbed off till after Christmas if they close, it doesn’t even seem bad and buses are running locally!

Why are they closed tomorrow?? Have you had more snow?

We were open today whereas all other (I think) schools in the area were closed. We had about 75% attendance even though only 2% of the pupils live within walking distance and about 85% of staff were in. The only difference was a rolling registration as some children took longer to arrive with getting out of icy estates/villages etc. Those of us that do live in waking distance were in for 7.30 to shovel paths for the children to walk on/clear the drive way for cars and we were good to go. No need to close at all.

Many places are closed in my area- my school appears to be the only one open. We share a site with another school which is closed...

Ours is still open, but loads closed here.... really hoping they don't change their mind. Will be taking a shovel with me to clear paths along the way...

I wish my kids school closed today. It was horrendous 20 minute walk in freezing cold rain with 4 kids we got saturated, then back again.
