Salted caramel....bleugh!

I used to quite like it but the past few things have been more salt than caramel.

I dont want my yule log od chocolate bar to be salty.

Bring back old fashioned sweet caramel....i want my teeth to melt!

Oh I love salted caramel. I have the opposite problem to you though, things that market themselves as 'salted caramel' aren't salty enough, sweet caramel and no hint of salt. You have to spend a fortune on posh chocs to get a proper hit of salt and caramel.

Pengggwn to be honest I genuinely think that’s the first time I’ve ever used ‘chocs’. Yeah it is a bit of an irritating word, I’ve annoyed myself with that one.

A friend made me some of Nigella's salted caramel sauce and it was to die for! Proper sea salty, I was spreading it on pizza and drizzling it over chips

Yeah, I'm with @RitaMills. Most salted caramel isn't salty enough.

YANBU OP. Salted caramel is acceptable on its own but as a complete flavour. Adding it to absolutely bloody everything (mince pies, coffee, etc) is Emperor's New Clothes nonsense.

Particularly since now it's getting tricky to buy good chocolates without salted caramel in it!

For the salted caramel fans, what are you favourites? I love Haagen Daz Salted Caramel ice cream and Charbonnel and Walker salted caramel collection is pretty damn good.

I love salted caramel but I'm heartily sick of everything being salted caramel flavour. It's turned it into a fad.
