What is it with posters on here asking stupid questions about the most basic of things?

What IS a fitness tracker? What do you mean by "Santa"? What is a "hack"?

Or the ones who can't Google anything to do with popular culture. "Who IS this Kim Kardashian?" But what IS Instagram etc.

AIBU to think it makes you look stupid, not superior?

Goats 🐐 Head??

In most cases the people asking "what IS" know exactly what the OP is referring to but want to make themselves look more superior yet in turn, make themselves look daft.

One that springs to mind was the "airport staff touched my vagina" - I just knew that someone would say "do you mean vulva or did someone internally examine you?" And yes, there is was within about 3 replies.

Ffs you knew exactly what the OP meant, why be a twat?

PizzaPower · 09/12/2017 10:21

Sanshin, because some people are twats full stop.
Be that in real life, or on the internet. People that post comments like that are also probably CF in reali life.

There was a great one recently when a very superior poster asked 'what is a chocolate croissant?' when the OP had said she had bought one and was obviously about to do a 'oh you mean a pain au chocolat' reply before someone pointed out that a chocolate croissant is a normal croissant filled with ganache, and not to be confused with a pain au chocolat which has hard chocolate

It was a beautiful moment

Funnily enough those were two of the examples I was thinking of Grin
