because we had a General Election earlier this year where the Conservatives had gone into a coalition with the DUP (who have to protect their own interests as a political party in Northern Ireland), we will now to accept a hard Brexit (because there will need to be a hard border between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland)?
