I bought a toy from mother care less than a week ago. It's one of those toys you pull and it plays music. Anyway the pulling things seems to have broken as it no longer retracts and therefore no longer plays music. It wasn't cheap at £15 but I have no receipt. Aibu in trying to return it?

No.

Did you pay cash?
If you can show a bank statement to show the day you paid, it would help.

I think that under the consumer act they have to replace/repair it as it was faulty/not fit for purpose.

Yeh I paid with my card

Did you give them your details? They store all receipts on your account, if you download the app you can see them.

Yes return it

ThisLittleKitty · 06/12/2017 11:19

No I don't think they asked me for any details. I will try returning it.

your bank statement should be enough to return it
