Have always bought my friends little girls 4&6 gifts for Christmas every year. Been hit financially quite hard this last few months and can't spend any more than 7/10 pounds on them each. What should I get? Help mumsnetters........ I only know what boys like!!!!!!!!!

Gp to TK Maxx - they do packs of 3 notebooks for £4 and funky pens.

Katescurios · 05/12/2017 18:31

Check asda or Argos, both do 2 for deals on toys at the moment.

RavingRoo · 05/12/2017 18:31

Neice has never been happier than the Christmas I got her nothing but £10 worth of cheap sparkly hairclips and bows from Claires and a bunch of second hand kids books.

Amazon 4 for £10 on books. Go high to low they have some brilliant klutz books Smile

Enchantimals are a hit with my 5yr old and not too expensive.

How about checking out argos 2 for £15 range.

Colouring book with felts, pencils and gel pens can get all these from poundland or a nice book dvd and chocs again from poundland Smile

Stickers are always a hit, as are things like gel pens and those multicolour biros.

Jewellery making kit? i.e. beads and string

Notebooks, colouring pens/pencils, gel pens, stickers are my go to budget gifts for kids

The Works is always excellent for reasonably priced gifts for children, always a nice selection of books, puzzles, toys as well as art & craft bits.
You could put a personal selection for each child in a gift box. You can order online if you don't have a branch near you. Wilkinsons may well be worth a look too. Good luck.

I would go art stuff - poundland had some unicorn and cutesy bits the other day, those diaries with a lock and stickers.

Tesco/asda/whsmiths sell busy books (book with 12 figures and playmat) for £6 some times on 2 for £9 my dds love them particularly the trolls, moana, my little pony ones 😀

shopkins and my little pony are v popular with my 2 - reasonable in the entertainer.

Talkingfrog · 05/12/2017 21:56

The entertainer is worth a look. Quite a few craft sets, Disney sets etc for that price. I picked up a colour your own my little pony bag for £5 or £6.
The works also do three children's story books for £5 or 10 for £10 online.
