On a train sitting in the Quiet Zone. Sitting next to the world’s most irritating woman who is yammering on her mobile about budget, basically trying to sound important and making it very obvious she works in the film industry. Avoiding eye contact with me so I can't point to the signs - even though she knows and has referred to it twice. Also sitting opposite a woman who thinks this is an appropriate environment to paint her nails. Three coats.

No other seats available. AIBU to hope a pigeon shits on them when they alight the Quiet Zone?

Just tell her to STFU. It will be so satisfying and everyone else in the Quiet zone will be thrilled.

To be very honest, because the train is so full, it's not silent anyway. It's just that irritating basic disrespectful and thinking the rules don't apply to them that gets my back up.

Urgh. YANBU. This sort of thing is the reason I get through so many ear plugs.

Call out loudly "Darling, come back to bed, I'm getting cold".

southeastdweller · 02/12/2017 13:26

Can you get the train guard to have a word with her?

TheBananaStand2 · 02/12/2017 14:15

Just go up to her and ask her to be quiet!
